General Questions

Why should I invest in ShareX when I can use video conferencing (WebX, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) for free?

The two concepts are quite different, other than that they both depend on streaming video. ShareX is a custom event platform that is intended to execute extremely high-quality live events via a robust streaming platform. By using full view customer branded physical studio sets, engaging interactive features (polling, Q & A, chat), custom web landing pages and provides back end analytics. 


Who is in charge of building the audience?

We can use our clients existing CRM data base or we provide the service of targeted digital marketing.


What is the audience limit to your service and do I pay for the size of the audience?

No limit, stream to any number of viewers, across as many events as you'd like, anywhere, on any device or platform. That includes broadcast quality video (up to 8k and HDR 10) and audio and no additional cost for size of audience. Ten people or 10 million people the cost remains the same.


How do we measure success?

There are many ways to measure success depending on our clients needs.  Our  unique feature of providing custom analytics provides clear concise insight to the live broadcast. How should I budget for live streaming events?

Streaming events are scalable to your budget and we can help design the production to target a specific budget. As with any project there are multiple factors that effect costs for each individual client. But this is what an example budget would look like for a one day, one audience event in Pittsburgh, PA.

The pricing for this types of events are scalable in price. Streaming your event almost completely removes traditional event costs like: drayage, freight, crating, refurbishment, space and event fees, and onsite costs. With each additional event your digital marketing service decrease because of covered stream fees.


Can I generate revenue with my live streaming broadcasts? 

Yes. We are able to build-in paywalls and paid content systems into your event.

I currently have a marketing agency - could ShareX work with them without duplicating services?

Yes. Our careers have been spent partnering with other agencies and we welcome working with your in-house department or agency of record. As a custom service, we only provide and charge for what you use.


How long does a  live event take to produce? 

Live events take 6-8 weeks to produce from concept to completion. The timing varies if a customer has existing videos, and other marketing information already produced.

Audience Interactions


What kinds of interactions can we use?

The easiest to implement interactions include: Q&A, live polls, audience chat, email capture, and custom calls to action. These are built into our streaming platform and can be implemented across almost any device. We also are able to build any other kind of interaction into the landing page or web site that your event resides within. Even the simplest kinds of interactions can help keep your audience engaged and interested. 


Consider also creating interactions that exist before and after your event. These could include games, contests, or other engagements that your audience members complete at different time - results of which can be used during the live broadcast.

The Studio Set


Why build a physical set?

Live events depend on a physical environment. And to truly present your brand and message at the right level, we need to use a beautiful and appropriate setting. Using tensioned fabric and low-cost exhibit building techniques, the set may actually be one of the lower cost items in a streaming event. And considering that the fabric could easily and inexpensively changed for any use or reason, you can easily offset the costs of the set by using it for more purposes.


Where can we put the set?

Considering that many office workers are now working at least partly from home, you may find yourself with extra space in your existing facility. A set big enough for a few guests could be constructed in just a couple hours anywhere - perhaps your headquarters, a manufacturing plant, design studio, or even at our facility. As little as 500 square feet is sufficient.





What devices are audience members able to use to participate in my event?

Virtually any computer, mobile device, streaming device, smart TV, or web browser can view the stream and basic audience interactions. Streaming video quality, up to 8k and HDR10, is automatically adjusted for connection speeds.


Additionally, our stream can be simulcast through social media including Vimeo, Facebook Live, IGTV, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitch. Broadcasts are immediately recorded and archived and can be viewed again any time.


What video input devices can I use to broadcast?

Our streaming platform can ingest video from almost any source: professional video cameras, mobile phones and tablets, webcams, GoPros and drones, and streams from other locations. We believe that using high-quality cameras and sound equipment is vital to creating a more inviting and pleasant experience, but also critical to present your brand and message at the right level. We also believe that creatively using many different cameras can create a more intimate experience. Imagine using a handheld action camera to show the audience inside and around your products - in ways that would actually be harder in a traditional event.


Why stream live instead of prerecording?

Audiences consistently rank “authenticity” as their most important expectation regarding marketing messages. Speaking to your audience live, in real-time is one of the most powerfully authentic forms of communication. Even the subtle imperfections, the “ums” and “uhs”, of a live broadcast help your audience feel more committed to your message.


We also recognize the need to prerecord certain elements. Perhaps an exterior drone fly-over of your headquarters to establish the location. Or high-speed video of one of your products in action. Or even a taped message from a special guest. These are also elements that can be mixed in to your live broadcast to add production value and depth.

I still plan to execute a physical live event. Why have a streaming strategy?

Fully capturing the cost of any event means attaching measurement to it. Streaming events allow you to use your physical event as part of a streaming event, for relatively little additional cost.
